High-risk locations: what are the risks?
Remote, highly sensitive locations such as Ministry of Defence (MOD) sites, critical national infrastructure (CNI) locations and nuclear facilities often heavily rely on physical security solutions due to a lack of surveillance and staff support. In these environments, physical security is the first and most crucial line of defence. Sites with such stripped-back operations require the protective products in place to provide the necessary resistance and time delay until emergency services arrive.
Solutions tested and certified to LPS 1175: Issue 8 can be trusted to withstand forced entry attempts, making them suitable for locations where constant surveillance is not an option, but uncompromising security is non-negotiable.
What is LPS 1175?
LPS 1175 is a standard developed by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) to assess and prove a physical security solution’s resistance against forced entry threats. With ratings ranging from opportunist incidents using easily accessible tools to professional attacks, this standard tests and certifies the protective product’s performance to the appropriate level.
The latest testing for our Whitehall doorset provides the highest level of forced entry resistance on the market, protecting against aggressive attacks using robust tools with no regard to noise.
Introducing: the Whitehall
At Stafford Bridge, we focus a significant amount of time and resources on pushing the boundaries and capabilities of our product range to meet the industry’s evolving threats. And the Whitehall is a perfect example of this investment.
The LPS 1175: Issue 8 Security Rating G20-certified Whitehall resists even the most determined, professional forced entry attempts using mechanical and electrical tools. We are proud to be the first door manufacturer to offer a tested and certified solution that provides forced entry resistance at this high level. This rigorous process, in return, enabled us to produce the world’s first LPS 1175 G20-certified doorset, accredited by BRE. Test tools for this particularly demanding rating include a circular saw, SDS drill, chainsaw, disc grinder, reciprocating saw, and trolley jacks.
"I was stunned when the certification team told me of this significant accomplishment. To deliver a 20-minute delay against a pair of experienced attackers using petrol-driven grinders and a selection of other power tools and large manual tools is a phenomenal achievement. Congratulations to all at Stafford Bridge who were involved in these doorsets' design and development. This security performance is better than many safes and some strongrooms would achieve!"

“At Stafford Bridge, we’re proud to introduce the highest LPS 1175-rated, multi-threat doorset available on the market today. This product was developed in direct response to our customers’ need for a truly integrated, high-delay solution capable of meeting ballistic, blast, fire, and forced entry requirements, all within a single doorset. Importantly, the design ensures a one-handed means of exit at all times, maintaining ease of use and compliance while providing exceptional protection – whilst it’s a very high-security doorset, it never compromises the safety of its users during an emergency. Available in both inward- and outward-opening configurations, this doorset sets a new benchmark for form, function, and resilience. With double doorsets scheduled for testing in January, we’re continuing to expand the capability of this range. This development exemplifies Stafford Bridge’s commitment to innovation, bespoke design, and rapid response to evolving security challenges, delivering solutions our customers can trust when it matters most.”
