LPS 1175 is the Loss Prevention Standard covering “Requirements and Testing Procedures for the LPCB Approval and Listing of Intruder Resistant Building

Components, Strongpoints, Security Enclosures and Free-Standing Barriers” Products tested and approved to this standard are widely recognised by Government

Agencies, Local Authorities, Banks, Insurance Companies and many other large organisations as being an effective means of protecting people and assets;

thus reducing the risks of loss to crime or terrorism.

Tests on security doors are carried out under laboratory conditions, using different attack times and tools, depending on their designated security rating.

LPS 1175 SR2 - The HENDON doorset is certified to resist a determined attack by an opportunist burglar using bodily force and a range of tools and

techniques, including those that involve the creation of noise.

LPS 1175 SR3 - The SANDHURST doorset is certified to resist deliberate attempts at forced entry of well-protected premises using a wide range of manual and

powered tools.

Tools used include:

Axe                    Cordless Drill (+ spare power pack)
Cold Chisels                400mm Bolt Cutter           
Gas Torch (Butane/Propane)        Pad Saw
Crowbar


Test Duration: 20 minutes


LPS 1175 SR4 - The WILTON and HALTON doorsets are certified to resist experienced attempts at forced entry of well-protected commercial premises using a

wide variety of attack options and tools.
